BBX Vault (“we”, “the site”) is a fan-made tool for tracking the Beyblade X competitive meta and saving your own parts collection. This page explains what personal data we handle and your rights. It is written to be clear rather than lawyerly — if anything is unclear, contact us.
Who runs the site
BBX Vault is an independent, non-commercial project, not affiliated with Takara Tomy or Hasbro. The data controller is the site owner, based in Switzerland; reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- If you browse as a guest: nothing leaves your device. Your collection is stored only in your browser (local storage).
- If you create an account: your email address (to sign you in). If you use “Continue with Google”, Google shares your email and basic profile name with us.
- Your vault: the parts you tick as owned and your optional blader name and favourite type, so we can save and sync your collection.
- Technical logs: our hosting and authentication providers keep standard security logs (such as IP address and timestamps) to protect the service from abuse.
Why we use it, and the legal basis
We use your email solely to authenticate you, and your vault data solely to save and sync your collection across devices — this is the service you ask for (performance of a contract), and, for the sign-in cookie, your explicit action of signing in. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not profile you.
Cookies & local storage
We use only strictly necessary storage:
- Local storage — keeps your collection (as a guest) and remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice.
- Authentication cookies / tokens — set by our auth provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in. These are essential to the account feature and are not used for tracking.
We use no analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across websites. The one third-party element on the page is the Ko-fi donation button, loaded from Ko-fi: it may set its own cookies if you open or use it. You can simply ignore it — nothing else on the site depends on it. Because the rest of the storage we use is strictly necessary to run features you request, it works without a consent wall — the banner you saw is an informational notice.
Who processes your data
We rely on a small number of trusted providers who act on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication (stores your account and vault).
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google” (sign-in).
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for the site.
- Ko-fi — the optional donation button. If you choose to donate, the payment happens entirely on Ko-fi's side and we never see your payment details.
These providers may process data outside your country; where that happens it is covered by their standard data-protection safeguards.
How long we keep it
Guest data lives only in your browser until you clear it. Account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to remove it. You can empty your collection any time from the Collection page (“Clear collection”).
Your rights
We are based in Switzerland, so the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies; if you are in the EU/EEA, the GDPR applies to you as well. Under either, you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a copy in portable form, or restriction of processing. To delete your account and all associated data, email [email protected] from your account address and we will remove it. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you are in the EU/EEA, to your local data-protection authority.
Age
Beyblade X is enjoyed by younger fans too. You may use the site as a guest at any age without an account. To create an account you must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent or guardian’s consent. If you believe a child has created an account without consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change how we handle data we will update this page and its “last updated” date.
